JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our mission is to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications. To accomplish this, JDRF has invested $2 billion in research funding since our inception. We are an organization built on a grassroots model of people connecting in their local communities, collaborating regionally for efficiency and broader fundraising impact, and uniting on a national stage to pool resources, passion, and energy. We collaborate with academic institutions, policymakers, and corporate and industry partners to develop and deliver a pipeline of innovative therapies to people living with T1D. Our staff and volunteers in more than 100 locations throughout the United States and our six international affiliates are dedicated to advocacy, community engagement and our vision of a world without T1D.

I am raising money for JDRF to treat and cure Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) through ONE Group. We are a group of young professionals supporting the mission of helping 3 million Americans with T1D fight the disease.

If you are not totally familiar with T1D - contrary to popular belief, T1D has nothing to do with diet and/or lifestyle. There's nothing anyone can do to prevent or get rid of it. Put simply, T1D is when your body stops producing insulin (the hormone that gives people energy from food). Currently, the best treatment is for people with T1D to give themselves insulin shots multiple times throughout the day and constantly check their blood sugar level to ensure it stays in balance.

Life with T1D is life-threatening. With every dollar raised, we get one step closer to finding a cure.

Please join me and help support JDRF, the largest charitable supporter of T1D research, find a cure, by donating or buying tickets to the November 15th ONE party that will be hosted in Atlanta (proceeds go directly to fund T1D research).

Thank you for your support!
