Hey Everybody!

This Year I decided to join the fight against Type 1 Diabetes, and your help is greatly appreciated!

You may be wondering why I am supporting this cause. Well, I want to raise awareness and funds about this disease. Let me explain a little more. Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin producing cells of the pancreas. In this case, the pancreas is not producing any insulin at all, and this has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is no cure for it, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it. Actually, this disease usually starts in children, and this is how I became involved and passionate to help this organization, JDRF, to find the cure.

If Diabetes is not controlled, there are many complications such as, kidney failure, blindness, heart disease, stroke, amputation and pregnancy complications. This is also true for those with Type 2 Diabetes. In either case, living with Diabetes is not an easy task, but there are a lot of strong people out there doing their best, having courage, perseverance, strength and not allowing it to get in the way of achieving their goals.

You can either donate (any amount maters), or simply buy tickets to the 2015 ONE Party through this page. This way you will help thousands of people who are nowadays suffering from this disease.

Thank you very much for your support and let's eradicate Type 1 diabetes together!

ABOUT JDRF
