Hi Friends and Family,

I am beyond excited to help in the fight against T1D and I hope you will join me! 

Chances are you know someone with Type 1 Diabetes. Whether that be a friend, child, or spouse, T1D affects everyone in many different ways. My closest connection is through one of my very dear friends. Over the years I have watched her brother and sister both struggle and strive to live happy, healthy lives. And guess what... IT IS POSSIBLE! But only with our help!

As many as 3 Million Americans alone are living with type one diabetes with more than 15,000 children being diagnosed each year. Through extensive research, JDRF estimates the healthcare costs of T1D in the United States to be 14.9 Billion per year. In 2013 alone, JDRF's T1D research funding totaled more than $106 Million. 

I believe there is more to be raised this year but they need our help! 

As an honoree I have made a personal pledge to raise at least $2,500.00. Together, with your help, I believe we can far exceed that goal and contribute immensely to the funding needed to find a cure!
