Hey! Thanks so much for stopping by. Please post a picture of someone you know who is impacted by Type 1 Diabetes and copy this link with it so we can raise awareness. I appreciate you considering to make a donation. The backstory on how I got involved is my colleague, John Pruitt at WSB-TV, reached out to me and urged that I look more into JDRF. After doing my research, I learned more about his wonderful organization. Most of us know someone who has been affected by Type 1 Diabetes. For me, that person was a childhood friend named Scott Shad. I remember when we were kids having to watch him get insulin injections. I couldn't imagine what that was like having to go inject yourself several times a day. Scott was an amazingly talented drummer, and he was in a band called Inspection 12 in Jacksonville, Florida. At one point, they became pretty popular performing on tour with some of the biggest punk bands in the world on the Vans Warped Tour. When Scott was 18, he went into a diabetic shock while driving his car. Doctors think he passed out right before he crashed into a wall, and the accident killed him. He was the first friend I ever lost so I'm doing this for Scott and all the other people who are affected by Type 1 Diabetes. Thank you again for stopping by this page. Give whatever you feel comfortable giving. You can also purchase a $75 dollar ticket above ("Click here to purchase tickets') to The One Party which is going to be a big one at The Estate on Piedmont November 5th. I hope to see you there!

Kindest Regards,

Craig

ABOUT JDRF

JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF’s goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D. JDRF collaborates with a wide spectrum of partners and is the only organization with the scientific resources, regulatory influence, and a working plan to better treat, prevent, and eventually cure T1D.

As the largest charitable supporter of T1D research, JDRF is currently sponsoring $530 million in scientific research in 17 countries. In 2012 alone, JDRF provided more than $110 million to T1D research. More than 80 percent of JDRF’s expenditures directly support research and research-related education. In 2012 Forbes magazine named JDRF one of its five All-Star charities, citing the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness.
